Since completing the upgrade, there’s a message in the lower right hand corner stating “No Audio Output Device”. I checked Dell’s site and it doesn’t appear they’re offering device drivers for this computer for an OS other than XP.

It may be that there are no Win 7 drivers for a desktop that old.
