I don’t think it will be resolved though until these drivers are totally uninstalled. Tech support scams are an industry-wide issue where scammers attempt to trick you into paying for unnecessary technical support services. I could not uninstall them as when I tried to do so I’d get the same message saying and I’m paraphrasing here that the uninstall was not successful because the driver file was either either missing or corrupt or because it was possibly needed to boot the computer. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, but to no avail. Run it and select Do a system scan and save a logfile from the Main Menu. I thought this would resolve the issue.

Yes, my password is: Windows was able to successfully install device driver software, but the driver software encountered a problem when it tried to run. Going into that it doesn’t show the McAfee drivers, just the one legitimate Intel driver.

Have intetmediate tried running a search in the registry for traces of McAfee? Copy and paste the log in your next post. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, but to no avail.

McAfee seem to have installed vilter own sort of network drivers, which cannot be uninstalled. In device manager Tech Support Guy is completely free — paid for by advertisers and donations.

Find your McAfee drivers. That sounds more like a virtual device, and I’ve had issues with those more often than real hardware. Thanks in advance for any contributions.
